Since opening its first bar/restaurant over ten years ago, Deyafa is the force behind over twenty successful and influential restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs in Cairo and The Red Sea region. Deyefa venues combine vernacular aesthetic and cuisine with international and regional influences; both expressing and inspiring the modern Arabic lifestyle.

We create inviting fusion menus featuring favorite international dishes (French, Chinese and Japanese) infused with authentic local flavors. Classic Egyptian and Lebanese cuisine are taken to new heights with unexpected combinations of native ingredients such as Ravioli with Molokheya and Falafel stuffed with salmon and dill. Traditional Cocktail mixers are cast aside for unique and flavorful local juices like sugar cane, hibiscus and cinnamon.

Deyefa's interior design creates as much buzz as the food. From modern redux to sumptuous and witty arabesque our inspirational interiors draw upon a multitude of global and local cultural and artistic influences. Custom designed furniture, original art by undiscovered local talents and erudite lighting create original, cutting edge atmospheres.

Music is the heartbeat of Deyefa. Each bar, restaurant and café has its own distinctive soundtrack created by our DJs in the company's very own sound studio. Famous for mixing oriental and world beats, a sample of our original club music, "Bamboo Hits" is available on the Sony Music label. Deyafa also regularly hosts dance parties with international DJs and concerts featuring local and international artists for up to 5,000 people. Recent happenings include: Ravine, Claude Challe, Pete Tong, Dave Seaman, and Ilham Al Madfai.

To maintain quality and artistic control at all times, Deyafa keeps production and development In-House. Our 650 strong employee roster includes DJs, artists and artisans in addition to world class chefs and management.

Defaya and Equinox Graphics
The only thing that Deyafa does not produce in house is our graphics, which have become as much a part of our identity as our food and music. Equinox Graphics, headed by Nermine Hammam, an accomplished artist in her own right, have created our signature graphics from the start. Her modern interpretations of classical arabesque motifs and use of sumptuous color have heavily influenced graphic arts in Egypt and contributed to the creation of contemporary arabesque style.
